Thank heavens

It's been a real miserable day.

Weather is atrocious, and the news, both in our small circle and beyond has been bleak.

But, my kitchen is clean and tidy, my husband and puss cat are cuddled up in the living room and my small people are up in my bed, waiting for me to come up and read with them.

For all of that, I am grateful.

It's a nice feeling, to be wanted and needed. It is also a nice feeling to know that there is someone to whom you can turn when you want or need them, for a hug or cookery advice, or just a chat on skype. So I am also grateful for my Mam. Too far away for hugs most of the time, but we make up for it!!!
