Grey day

What a contrast to yesterday!

This morning, as I drove to work, the sky was heavy and overcast. It was drizzling constantly - that soft, misty stuff that really gets you soaked. I wondered, as I drove along, nice and snug in my wee car, what the day would bring that I would be grateful for. I decided that, if all else failed, I could at least be grateful that the clouds had given us a cosy blanket, and the temperature was up a good bit from yesterday.

Before I started my blog, I checked my e-mails, and Facebook, as I usually do. Mags has a gorgeous photo up, with a caption that says the temperature with her was -6degrees at 4pm this afternoon. So, I guess I really am grateful for the grey, cloudy, drizzly and mild day we've had!

Mind you, as is evident from Mags's photo, there is something beautiful to be thankful for in the icy cold too!

Gratefully yours.
xx

  1. I agree. I would actually rather have the really cold, cos it comes with blue skies, stunningly frosted trees and grasses, and glittering snow. (We had -11 that day - not that there's any one-upmanship going on here!!)
