The first day back

What a yucky morning it was. Cold, wet and very dark! It was like the middle of the night as we headed off to school!

The kids, however were full of the joys of the first day back!

They got up at the first asking - and earlier than usual, as requested by themselves! Thomas wanted to have a shower, and Megan wanted a bit longer, awake in her bed to come to herself! They both made their own lunches(!!!!!) and were dressed, breakfasted and ready to go about 15 minutes earlier than usual!!!

Meggie had no homework today, but Thomas came in and did his without any fuss or bother. Lunches were eaten completely, and empty boxes left by the sink for me to wash. What I really want to know is, who came in last night and stole away my children and left me with these two angels in their place!!!

Today I am thankful for first day enthusiasm.

Anyone care to bet on how long it will last??? My guess is about two days, if I'm lucky! Still, on the positive hand....they are very kindly breaking me into normal routine, gently!
