Today I am eternally grateful to the Council.
Walking home from work today, as I neared the spot that is forever stuck in my memory...the place I tripped and gave myself two shiners...I saw the men from the council. They were re-surfacing the pavement!!
Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.
I can now walk home from work without palpitations and cold sweats.

As a Council employee (albeit not your Council) I am so used to hearing what a bunch of idle useless b......ds we are (useless I may be, but idle I am not!) - this one really warms my heart!
