A creative mind

Meggie will be a writer.

I'm quite sure that at some time in the future she will write a novel.

I have come to this conclusion after hearing her explanation of a headache.

She was complaining earlier on about a sore head, so I asked, as I usually do, if she could tell me in what way it was sore - trying to determine if she did, in fact, have a sore head, and if so, how sore.

She replied that she could't explain how sore it was, so I asked her to describe the feeling to me, and this is what she came up with...

"It feels like lots and lots of fuzzy images in my head, rumbling around fighting with each other and knocking holes in my brain".

Now, I don't know about you, but I knew exactly what she meant, and thought that it was an absolutely stonking description of a headache!!!

So, today I am grateful for Meggie's wonderful way with words, and the fact that it wasn't me who had the headache!!

And for anyone who is worried, I'm quite sure the headache was a mixture of heavy, close weather and tiredness, and I gave her some Calpol!

Gratefully yours.
xx
