Life lessons

Today I learnt, first hand, a valuable lesson.

I guess over the years I've been taught this lesson a few times, and, even though you know it makes sense, it doesn't necessarily sink in completely! It's a lesson we have all learnt...or at least should have learnt!

I was working today, and it was a very quiet morning. VERY quiet! On several occasions I said, out loud, that I'd prefer to be busy....

You guessed it, when it did get busy, it got hectic! Several phone-calls from several doctors looking for weird and wonderful, seldom used products that I then had to make several phone-calls to track down. Patients all coming in at once with complicated scripts that they wanted to wait for, because "it'll only take you a minute - won't it??". And, as I'm not working there tomorrow...comprehensive note-writing so that tomorrows pharmacist knows what the heck is going on!!!

So, yes, from now on, I am going to be happy with what I've got! Happy here and now, not thinking that some other way looks better!!!

And I promise I won't complain about having a quiet morning ever again!!!

Today I am grateful that I have (finally - I hope!) learnt my lesson!!!
