Today I am just grateful for the way my life has turned out.
At work, I often get glimpses into a different world. The other side of the tracks, if you like. And it is scary.
It often seems like, thanks to drugs, alcohol and general abuse, life is just a pit of misery, and fear, with little or no chance of crawling your way out.
I am so grateful to have escaped that kind of life.
I know that it is possible to raise yourself higher. To dream big and reach for the stars. But some of the people I come into contact with seem to have little chance of that. I don't think that they even know they have that option!
It is sad and it is depressing...but it makes me value what I have, even more.
Gratefully yours.
xx
Yes, we don't know we're living, as they say. Don't know how you've managed to keep this up for nearly a year but well done. x
ReplyDeleteThanks to Mum and Dad that we had a stable, loving upbringing!
