I spotted the buckets of tulips as the girl brought them out this morning - I conveniently pass a lovely flower shop to and from my way to work in town. Perfect timing really, with the dinner party this weekend!
After a busy morning at work, I had forgotten all about them, until I passed the shop on my way home! People passing me must have wondered why I had a big fat grin on my face! I just love tulips!
I love their big flat, floppy leaves. I love the fact that they continue to grow, getting taller all the time in the vase. I love the fact that they flop over one day, and stand straight and tall the next...well, I suppose we all have our floppy days, don't we?
And I love the colours. I particularly like the two-tone ones, like I bought today. And they sometimes have gorgeous feathery ones too!!! I could go on and on......but I won't!
I'll just finish by saying that every time I go out into the hall or into the living room (yes, I bought that many!!) they make me smile just to see them, looking so bright and beautiful.
