Perfect pancakes...

...not!!!

I am never going to attempt to make crepes ever again!

Pancake Tuesday started well, with scotch pancakes and fruit for breakfast. Megan had expressed a desire to eat nothing but pancakes today, so I started out as I meant to go on. The plan was, that as well as their sandwich and fruit for lunch, the kids would take the breakfast left-overs as a treat. Then for dinner it was to be crepes filled with chicken and ham in a mustard sauce.

I should have stuck with the scotch pancakes! Susan always makes crepe-making look so easy, but it doesn't matter how many times I try, I just end up with a total disaster on a plate! They stick to the pan, brown too much before they are flippable (is that even a word?), and generally fall to pieces when I try to get them out of the pan. Believe me, it ain't pretty!!! So' from now on....I don't do crepes!!! Just don't ask me!!

On the bright side, I am grateful that pancake Tuesday only comes round once a year!!
