The Bruce may have had his spider, but I think Gorgeous may just have the edge, as far as purr-sistence is concerned (and she looks a lot cuddlier than a big, black spider too!).
I finally got to put my feet up at around four this afternoon, and decided to watch a film. Gorgeous came up on my knee, and after her usual round of padding and kneading my tummy, she lay down for a snooze. Then the doorbell rang. I answered to door to Megan's pal, then resumed my place on the couch.
Gorgeous was up again in a flash, kneaded a little less, then curled up to sleep. The ice-cream man's van appeared and the kids came running. No matter that it was only one or two degrees above freezing outside, it was the first ice-cream van of the year, so I had to get up for my purse! I was nearly fully standing before Gorgeous gave up and jumped off me!
Round three. Back on the couch...no kneading this time, just cuddling down, determined to get a cat-nap! Doorbell again! This time it was Thomas's pal's mum, come to take him home. I put the oven on at the same time, so as not to have to get up again! By the time I got back to the couch, Gorgeous had claimed my seat, and was curled up in a fluffy ball, eyeing me as if to say "move me if you dare!"
Today I am grateful for my own Bruce moment of insight.
Next Sunday when I sit down to watch a film....I shall not be moved!!!
Gratefully yours.
xx
