This evening just got better and better!
On the way home from work I was lucky enough to be in the audience for the "most beautiful sky" contest. Pinks, reds and oranges with a few wispy clouds and the odd brighter ray thrown in for good measure. Quite a show.
Then on my way to choir, who should appear, bright as a button, to accompany me on my journey, but the Full Moon. At that time of the evening it looked huge, hung low in the sky and shining really brightly. Oooh...I love the full moon!
Then we had the amazing experience of singing our newly rehearsed "Sing Joyfully" choral piece....to it's composer!! He was a jolly wee man, who seemed to be genuinely delighted with out interpretation of his creation! Quite a thrill! He told us that we had inspired him to write us another piece!! Can't wait!
And, as if that wasn't enough, I looked up at one point, and there was the moon peeking in through the high gym windows....and he seemed quite impressed with our performance too!!!
What a lucky girl I've been today. I am truly, truly thankful.
And on that note....
Gratefully yours.
xx
That sounds like a lovely day! "The moon and I" is a gorgeous contralto solo from the Mikado!
