Back to basics

Today I am grateful for one of the basics - my health.

It is so basic, in fact, that I think most of us take it completely for granted! I know I do...which is strange, considering my line of work!

However, I have just come home from a CPD course (continuing professional development) about rheumatoid arthritis, which seems to have really struck a chord with me. It has really reminded me just how lucky I am to be healthy.

I know that we only have a little bit of control over our health. What will be will be, in the case of many pre-ordained disease states. There's not a lot we can do about it....so it's all the more important to look after ourselves, and do what we can to stay healthy, and fight off the diseases we CAN do something about!

I think a major part of having a healthy approach to life is having a positive outlook, so I am grateful once again to be able to write this blog every night, to share it with you, and hopefully keep us all looking on the bright side! As far as diet and exercise are concerned...it's every one for themselves!

I look to my mam for inspiration. She's well over 21, and all I can say is, I hope I'm as young as she is when I reach her age!!! (Irish, or what???)

Gratefully yours.
xx

  1. So true, we only have one body and it has to last us our whole lives, we need to look after it in whatever way we can. As for the conditions we can do nothing about, a positive outlook on those... they are part of what makes us who we are!
