Red sky at night

I've been sitting here for a while, trying to decide what to write about today. Nothing was coming to mind, so I started to go through my day to see what I could come up with.

Unfortunately, I am slap-bang in the middle of peri-menopausal angst (a bit like teenage angst, only like a million times worse!!). My hormones are up and down like a roller-coaster, bringing my mood and my energy levels along for the ride! Fasten your seatbelts please, and keep all hands, legs and wobbly bits inside the vehicle at all times!!!

But there were moments all right. And, as previously discussed, these moments are precious, and should not be overlooked. So, already my mood has lifted somewhat, and I have chosen two stand out moments to really be grateful for today.

Fistly, as I was coming home from dropping Meggie and her pal Lisa back to Lisa's house, I was treated to a glorious red-sky moment. And it was nearly quarter to six...so the evenings really are stretching! The clouds were  that beautiful deep pink colour, with clear light blue above and lovely fiery red below. Wonderful.

My second moment also includes a beautiful red colour. I just love drying Meggie's hair after her shower. (She, on the other hand, hates it with a passion, but one out of two aint bad!!) It's not just the colour. Her hair is so soft and shiny and, well...just gorgeous! (Well, she is my baby! What can I say??)

Today, I am grateful for the ability of colour to lift the spirits.

Gratefully yours.
xx
