There was nothing major that had to be done today. Just lots of little things. And boy do they stack up!
So, today I am grateful that I did lots of little things, to the best of my ability.
The only big thing to be done today was the weekly shop. Once that was done and put away (the worst bit!) and after I had a mocha and a very small wee apple lattice square (well I figure with all the fruit in it it had to be less calorific than a pecan danish!) I set myself the task of completing all the other little bits that I wanted to achieve with my morning.
I baked banana bread for K, made smooth tomato/veg pasta sauce as requested by my darling daughter, made a lovely pot of vegetable soup for myself for the rest of the weeks lunches, emptied the dishwasher, filled the dishwasher, cleared all the towels/sheets/clothes from the utility room and ironed everything in the basket (not too much, thank goodness...I've been trying hard to keep up with demand!), parcelled up my grephew's (late) birthday present (as I'm his graunty, I guess he must be my grephew...great-nephew makes me sound old!!), posted said parcel and lodged cheques in the bank.
By the time I picked the kids up from school, I was feeling very proud of myself for all my little achievements. And, boy, is that banana bread tasty!!!
Gratefully yours.
xx
