Stick to the routine

I often say, after the long school holidays in the summer, that I am glad to get back to routine. I think I need it even more than the kids!

It's good to know where you are meant to be and what you are meant to be doing. It probably explains why I find it hard to get going on anything on my days off...unless I have a list of things I know I need to get done.

It is also good though to be able to let go a bit and go with the flow. I love the thought of that...no need to be in control, just go with the flow and see where you end up. I always think that sounds just so relaxing, and so much less hastle than having to be organised!!! But, in reality, a lot harder to do!

Yes, I have to admit that I like to stick to my routine as much as possible, and I find it quite stressful if I can't.

Tuesday is a good day for routine. I've mentioned before (probably every Tuesday since I started writing my blog!) that it is a very full day. My least favourite day of the week. But I have just hit on the positive side to Tuesday...routine!

Now that's not bad....only eight weeks into my 52 week blog and I am already finding positives where none were to be found before!! I am actually quite proud of myself...stop laughing! It may not seem like much, but it is definitely a step in the right direction for me and I am chuffed!

Today I am grateful for Tuesday's routine!!!

Gratefully yours.
xx

  2. I always find that if I have a completely free day I start thinking about all the things I could/should be doing and get totally overwhelmed and end up browsing the interweb all day! (Find out lots of interesting stuff that way, mind you!) As part of my Order of Interbeing commitment, I have to have a 'mindfulness day' a week - so the new rule is no computer that day. No, not even a quick 5 minute check of emails!
